1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Mane Ms. Hair Coach website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (updated December 4, 2025). If you disagree, please refrain from using our services.

2. Services Offered

We provide online hair coaching, consultations, education, and professional development services. All services are based on personal and professional hairstyling experience and should not be considered substitutes for medical, trichological, or dermatological advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use our services, or be accompanied by a consenting adult for all coaching sessions.

​

4. Client Requirements

Completion of the intake form is mandatory and must be submitted at least 48 hours before your session; failure to do so may result in rescheduling or forfeiture without refund.

Review the prep guide before your sessions so the required tools, materials, mannequin head or model are ready. 

Model or mannequin head requirements vary by package: Elevated Expertise requires a professional mannequin head with coily, kinky, or afro-textured hair; Crown Carer requires a live model (haircare recipient); and Crown Confidence requires the coaching recipient as the model. In all cases, the mannequin head or model must be visible on camera for accurate demonstrations and assessments.

5. Booking, Currency and Payment

All bookings are made through our online platform.

Payment is required in full at the time of booking.

Prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and subject to applicable taxes and transaction fees.

6. Communication Policy

Client inquiries submitted via email will receive a response within 48 business hours. Business hours are Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.

​

7. Coaching Relationship & Confidentiality

Our coaching services are for educational purposes and do not constitute medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Any personal information shared during coaching is confidential and will not be disclosed, except where required by law.

8. Session Guidelines and Time Zones 

Each session is designated for the client and the model (where applicable) alone. 

Some sessions may involve interactive demonstrations, where the coach models techniques while you simultaneously perform them on your hair, a mannequin head or a model. This mirrored method allows for real-time feedback, correction, and confidence-building.

All session times are scheduled in Mountain Time (MT). Clients outside this time zone must verify the correct equivalent time. Time zone confusion resulting in a missed session is treated as a no-show and is not eligible for rescheduling or refund.

9. Scheduling, Cancellations, and Refunds

All sales are final at the time of purchase.

Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice, subject to availability.

One reschedule per client, per package is permitted.

All sessions must be completed within 100 days of the purchase date. Unused sessions after this period are forfeited.

Cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment or missed appointments ("no-shows") are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling and will result in forfeiture of that session.

If we must cancel a scheduled session within 24 hours, you will be offered a reschedule or a refund.

10. Payment Processing & Security

Payments are securely processed via third-party platforms or financing providers. We do not store full payment information and are not liable for errors or breaches by third-party services. Use of such payment providers is subject to their respective terms.

11. Digital Products & Downloads

Digital products (e.g., handbooks, certificates) are for personal use only and may not be redistributed or resold.

All digital products are non-refundable once purchased, accessed or downloaded.

12. Technical Requirements & Limitations

All our services are delivered online only.

Clients are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and compatible devices.

We are not responsible for technical issues on the client’s end.

​

13. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and provided during consultations—including audio, videos, graphics, handbooks, and text—is the property of The Mane Ms. Hair Coach and may not be copied, redistributed, or republished without express written consent.

14. Code of Conduct

Users are expected to act respectfully during all interactions.

Abusive language, harassment, or misconduct may result in termination of services without refund.

15. Testimonial Usage Disclosure

By sharing a testimonial—whether written, spoken, photo, or video—you give The Mane Ms. Hair Coach permission to use it for marketing and promotional purposes in print or online.

Casual comments made during coaching sessions are included unless you notify us in writing before your session.

Your full name will only be used with your permission; otherwise, we may use your first name, initials, or a pseudonym.

All testimonials should reflect your genuine experience.

16. Privacy & Data Protection

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and relevant data protection laws. By using our services, you agree to the handling of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. International users are responsible for ensuring compliance with their local privacy laws (e.g., GDPR).

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Mane Ms. Hair Coach, its owners, affiliates, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the services or breach of these Terms.

18. Disclaimers

Results vary from client to client. We do not guarantee specific outcomes and disclaim any liability for hair care advice, product use, or outcomes following our sessions.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of our services or website.

20. International Use Disclaimer

Our services are operated from Alberta, Canada. We do not represent that the content or services are appropriate or available elsewhere. Individuals accessing this website from outside Canada are responsible for their compliance with local laws.

21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed under the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. You agree that any legal action or dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Alberta.

22. Force Majeure

The Mane Ms. Hair Coach shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, governmental restrictions, war, pandemics, or internet/power outages. If this occurs, we will inform you in writing and strive to minimize disruption. However, this clause does not excuse payment for services.

23. Term

The initial payment signifies the commencement of this agreement, which concludes upon completion or upon termination in accordance with our cancellation policies.

24. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the website or services indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
