Booking Times and Scheduling Availability​

 

​1. What times are available for the coaching sessions?

Booking times are limited and vary depending on the package purchased.
The Crown Confidence and Crown Carer Packages sessions are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5-6 PM Mountain Time (MT).
The Elevated Expertise Package sessions are on Mondays, with the main session from 11 AM-2 PM, and the follow-up sessions at 3-3:30 PM and 4-4:30 PM.
Please note that these are the only available times for booking, even though other time slots may show on the booking calendar.

3. Do you only work with coily, kinky or afro hair types?​

While The Mane Ms. Hair Coach specializes in coily, kinky, and afro-textured hair, we work with all hair types and welcome everyone. Our mission is to establish coily haircare as a beauty industry standard, not an exception.

4. What makes this coaching different from online tutorials?​

Unlike generic tutorials, this is high-engagement, customized coaching focused on results:
Personal Coaching Clients – Learn your hair’s unique needs, master everyday and special occasion styling, and build a care regimen you or your care recipient can embrace.
Professional Coaching Clients – Receive advanced training on the shrinkage vs. stretch dynamics of coily hair, giving you the edge in cutting, styling, and long-lasting results.

8. What is the Crown Carer Package?​

The Crown Carer Package is a premium coaching experience created for those who care for someone else’s hair. Whether you’re a parent, partner, personal aide or caregiver, this service is designed to empower you with professional, practical, and personalized guidance to care for your loved one's hair with confidence and ease.

9. How Does the Crown Carer Package Differ From the Crown Confidence Package?​

The experience and coaching are identical. The difference is who the coaching is directed toward. In the Crown Carer Package, the coaching is for you, as the haircarer, rather than the individual receiving the haircare. It’s tailored to empower you, the hands behind their crown, with skills, routines, and confidence in the haircare you deliver.

10. Why must I be a licensed/professional hairstylist/cosmetologist to book the Elevated Expertise Package?​

The Elevated Expertise Package is a high-level coaching experience designed specifically for licensed professionals to expand their technical skillset, client offerings, and revenue—especially in caring for coily, kinky, and afro-textured hair.​
To ensure safety, precision, and industry-level growth, this package includes advanced demonstrations, terminology, and professional strategies that require prior training, licensing, and client experience. It’s crafted to elevate your service delivery, not introduce the basics of haircare.​
If you are not yet licensed, the Crown Confidence Package or the Crown Carer Offer may be a better fit until you're eligible to apply professional practices in your business.

11. Is this a styling appointment?​

No. These are online coaching sessions—private, guided tutorials focused on building your technique, understanding hair needs, and creating lasting confidence. You’ll learn how to care for the scalp and hair, not just style it.

Booking & Preparation

​

12. How far in advance should I book?​

We recommend booking 1-2 weeks in advance to allow time for completing the intake form, reviewing the preparation guide, and gathering tools. Our availability is limited and tailored to individual needs, so please book promptly.
​

13. Am I required to fill out the intake form? What happens if I don’t complete it?​

Yes — the intake form helps to understand your hair and scalp condition, routine, and goals to personalize your session. Please submit it at least 48 hours before your appointment to avoid rescheduling or losing your spot. â€‹
Before your session, please review the prep guide to ensure all necessary tools, materials, mannequins, and models are ready.
 

14. Do I need a mannequin head or a model?​

It depends on the coaching package:​
Elevated Expertise — a professional mannequin with coily, kinky, or afro-textured hair.
Crown Carer — a live model (the person receiving haircare).
Crown Confidence — the coaching recipient acts as the model.
In every case, your mannequin head or model must be visible on camera for accurate assessment and feedback.
 

15. Can I book a session for someone else?​

Yes, but if you’re the one learning, you must be present and engaged during the coaching. The person receiving care must also be present with hair out, dry, uncovered and visible to allow for proper assessment.

16. Can I reschedule or cancel?​

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any changes.
Clients may reschedule their session with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be used within 100 days of the original purchase date. After this period, the session will be forfeited.
Cancellations with short notice will result in forfeited sessions and fees.

17. Do I need special tools or products for the session?​

Yes. Review the prep guide before your sessions for specific requirements, but in general, have available the products and tools you normally use:
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Detangling and styling tools such as combs and brushes
  • Styling products and devices (eg, a blow-dryer)
  • Towels, clips or accessories
  • Mannequin head or model (depending on the package chosen)

Tech & Platform

​

18. What platform is the session hosted on?​

All sessions are hosted securely through Google Meet. You’ll receive a private link and calendar invite after booking and payment confirmation.
​

19. Can I use my phone for the session?​

For an optimal experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop. If you're using a phone, please ensure it is stable, well-lit, and positioned to provide a clear view of the face, scalp and hair. A tripod or prop stand can be helpful; avoid handheld or shaky setups.
 

20. What happens if my internet disconnects?​

If disconnected during the session, reconnect immediately using your session link. If the session is interrupted for longer than 15 minutes, we’ll work with you to reschedule a continuation, subject to availability, within 100 days of your original purchase date.
 

Recording & Privacy

21. Can I record the session?

No, recordings are not permitted. To protect your privacy and the methods of The Mane Ms. Hair Coach, all sessions remain confidential and may not be recorded in any form. Instead, you’ll receive a personalized recap after your sessions.
 

22. How is my personal information or video used?​

We respect your privacy. Any testimonial, video, or photo content will only be used with your verbal or written consent. You may opt out of sharing by informing us before your session.

The Elevated Expertise Package (Professional Coaching) Details

23. Why should hairstylists and cosmetologists invest in this training?​

Most stylists struggle with coily, kinky, and afro-textured hair from ignorance of its shrinkage and stretch states. This training provides you with advanced, practical knowledge to cut, style, and care for coily hair with purpose and precision, delivering salon-quality care to your clients and driving business growth.

24. Do I need to show proof of licensure?​

Yes. You may be asked to provide your license number or professional affiliation before your session. This ensures we deliver the appropriate level of instruction.
​

25. Do I need a mannequin head or a model?​

Yes, a professional mannequin head with coily, kinky, or afro-textured hair is required for demonstrations and assessments during the sessions. Ensure the mannequin head is visible on camera throughout the session. A model is not needed for these sessions.
​

26. Will I receive a certificate of completion?​

Yes. A downloadable certificate of completion and professional handbook are included with the Elevated Expertise Package. These will be sent after all required coaching sessions are completed.

Payments & Fees

​

27. What payment methods do you accept?​

We accept major credit cards and secure online payments through our booking platform.
All payments are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD), with automatic currency conversion for international clients.
​

28. Is there a setup fee, and is it refundable?​

No set-up fee is charged for our services.
​

29. When is payment due?​

Full payment is due at the time of booking. This secures your appointment and initiates the preparation process that makes your session personalized and results-driven.

30. Do you offer payment plans or financing?​

Payment plans are currently unavailable, and full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your session.
​

Results & Follow-Up

31. Will I receive written instructions after the session?​

Yes. You’ll receive a customized care summary via email.
 

32. Can I book another session if I need more help?​

Absolutely. Many clients choose seasonal refreshers or support during transitions, such as protective styles or new growth. You can book another package to follow up at any time.

33. Do you offer coaching bundles or ongoing support packages?​

Yes, returning clients can book additional packages.
​
